It was a green St. Patrick’s Day Tuesday at Legoland Florida as Girl Scouts dressed in their green sashes and vests helped with the groundbreaking for Heartlake City.

The Girl Scouts broke through the brick covered ground only to discover four leaf clovers created out of, you guessed it, more Lego bricks just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

“We invited the Girl Scouts to help us with this event because we believe they can relate to the Lego Friends' love of adventures, solving problems and having fun,” said Rex Jackson, the director of marketing for Legoland Florida Resort.

Heartlake City, a new land based on the popular Lego Friends line of toys, is set to open this summer. It will include a new ride themed to Mia’s love of horses: Mia’s Riding Adventure, plus a new interactive show called “Friends to the Rescue” as well as Stephanie’s News Room and shops inside Heartlake Mall.
