A teen suspect accused in the attack on a 17-year-old boy in Brevard County is now being charged as an adult.

The State Attorney's Office filed charges of premeditated attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery against 17-year-old Dylan Thomas.

Although he is a minor, News 13 has now chosen to name him, in accordance with our Crime Guidelines.

Investigators said Thomas and two 18-year-old women attacked 17-year-old Daniel Vukovich in his driveway Thursday, Feb. 19.

Deputies said the trio attacked Vukovich with a crowbar because he stole marijuana and smoking paraphernalia from the suspects. They had also been plotting for weeks to kill him, according to the sheriff’s office.

Thomas is being held in the Brevard County Jail on $1.1 million bond.

Jessie Umberger and Rebecca Gotay, both 18, were also charged with attempted first-degree murder in this case.
