An Oviedo man was killed Sunday afternoon after the mattress he was sitting on in the back of a pickup truck went airborne.
It happened on Osceola Road near Osceola Fish Camp Road in Seminole County.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Paul Ginther Jr. was riding on an unsecured mattress in the back of 48-year-old Kenneth Connell's pickup when the mattress flew off the truck bed throwing Ginther to the road.
Ginther was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he died.
The accident is under investigation.
