SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket into the night sky on Sunday along the Space Coast.

The rocket is carrying two communication satellites that will distribute television programming, Internet and mobile phone connectivity across the world. The all-electric satellites for Eutelsat and Asia Broadcast Satellite were built by Boeing.

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, said on Twitter that both satellites deployed on target.

Because of the payload, SpaceX said the Falcon 9 rocket will not have launch legs and they will not attempt to land the first stage booster on a floating barge.

SpaceX said its next barge landing attempt will be in April during a launch to the International Space Station.
