A string of seven armed robberies in Orange County and Orlando early Friday morning are all connected, and investigators are on the hunt for at least two suspects.
All seven armed robberies of area convenience stores happened within an 8-mile radius, investigators said.
Orlando police are investigating armed robberies that happened at a Hess Station and a Circle K, both on Curry Ford Road, in the east Orlando area. Orange County deputies are investigating robberies at stores on Dean Road, Sun Vista Way, Curry Ford Road, Lake Underhill Road and East Colonial Drive.
Ahmad Ayoob, a clerk at the Goodies Food Mart on Sun Vista Way, said he knew he had to stay calm when his store was hit Friday morning.
"Yeah, because he came in without covering his face, his car, the store has, like, 30 cameras," Ayoob said of one of the suspects.
No employees at any of the seven stores were injured in the armed robberies, authorities said.
