According to a report on the WDW News Today website, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park will be closed this summer to improve safety.
The report says Disney closed the ride for two days this week to do an assessment of the new boats and track and determined a fix is needed.
Last July a guest lost two fingertips on his right hand while riding the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
WDW News Today said the ride will be closed May 11 through Sept. 25, 2015.
