Overnight temperatures are set to fall to freezing and below for those in Marion, Flagler, Sumter, Volusia and northern Lake counties, where a Freeze Warning is in effect from 3–8 a.m. Thursday.
The rest of Central Florida is under a Wind Chill Advisory from 1–11 a.m., as wind chills dip into the 20s, while lows will be down to the mid- and upper 30s south and east of the I-4 Corridor.

Thursday, under full sun, temperatures for many of us won’t make it above the 40s with wind chills expected to remain about 5 to 10 degrees below our temperatures. By Friday morning, record lows will be in jeopardy as we get the coldest blast so far this season. Temps will dip down to freezing and below across most of Central Florida. The record low of 33 set back in 1958 will probably be broken. Our forecast low is 31.
Friday afternoon will be only a bit warmer than Thursday with highs in the mid-50s under a sunny sky. Once our wind starts to shift from the east overnight Friday night, we will begin to warm back into the 70s this weekend. Our next best chance for rain isn’t until next Tuesday. Stay warm!
