A narcotics investigation in South Daytona ended Friday with a SWAT raid on a home and the arrest of two people on numerous drug charges.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said agents with the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force raided a house on Nottingham Road and found 16 firearms and stockpiles of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The Sheriff’s Office said when the SWAT Team entered one of the bedrooms they found Kayla Eaker, 22, in bed and Daniel Harding, 22, half-way out of bed with a loaded handgun but he quickly dropped the gun when he observed the SWAT Team.

Both Eaker and Harding were charged with armed trafficking in a schedule I narcotic, manufacturing hashish, grand theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a schedule IV narcotic with intent to sell, possession of hashish with intent to sell, possession of cocaine, possession of codeine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Eaker was also arrested on an open warrant for DUI and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement and charged with a probation violation.
