Troopers are looking for the driver of a vehicle after a Clermont man was struck and killed late Sunday night.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Preston Cove Road in Clermont.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Aaron Zacharias, 26, was crossing Lakeshore Drive, not in a crosswalk, when an unknown vehicle struck him. Troopers said the vehicle then left the scene.
Zacharias was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said several small black pieces of what appear to be parts of the vehicle with an adhesive "bondo" on them were found at the scene. Troopers believe the vehicle they are looking for may have had recent bodywork done.
