The Orlando Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a woman who shot a pregnant woman Monday night in the Parramore neighborhood of the city.

The shooting happened around 7:09 p.m. along West Columbia Street.

Detectives on Tuesday morning issued an arrest warrant for Latoya Shantell Jackson, 31, for attempted homicide and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Police said 29-year-old Tiara White was shot in the back and had a bullet lodged in her arm, and she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a group of women were arguing outside a Parramore liquor store on Gore Street Monday night when the situation escalated.

Police said Latoya Jackson and two other women came at White with bats, machetes and a chain, threatening to kill her and harm her friends.

Jackson allegedly yelled about being in an intimate relationship with the father of White's unborn child.

When White and her friends walked away, witnesses said Jackson and the other suspects got into a gray four-door sedan and followed them down the street. Moments later, on Columbia Street, gunshots were fired from the vehicle, striking White.

We checked and Jackson has a lengthy criminal history that includes theft and drug charges. Police also believe Jackson sent White Facebook messages threatening to kill her and the baby.

When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a pregnant female with a gunshot wound to her upper back. Police said the 29-year-old's injuries were non-life-threatening. She was transported to an area hospital.

Anyone with information about the incident or Jackson's whereabouts is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
