The female calf was born on Nov. 29 weighing 152 pounds and standing six feet tall.

She has grown considerably since but is still dwarfed by the adult giraffes.

She's now made her public debut after a few weeks of bonding with her mother Johari.

“Make sure she's nursing, and that's also how we start slowly introducing her to the herd,” said Jennifer Meyer from the Brevard Zoo.

The new zoo addition is likely to be seen in the midday hours in the main yard.

This is the Brevard Zoo's eighth giraffe birth.
