In the shadow of snowcapped mountains (even if they’re only a set piece) awaits a piece of Europe in winter.

"We are both excited," says Helen Eichers of Spring Hill, Florida.

Four-year-old Taylor Fallon doesn't slow down often. In fact, snow in the forecast only makes her go faster.

"It's like you're going on a roller coaster,” Taylor says.

Wearing her snow boots, the ball of energy dashes in and out of the line while holding an inflatable snow tube.

"I like this. Mommy, one time I want to go on this again?”

Taylor played in the snow on Gaylord Palm's Alpine Racer for the first time, thanks to Santa's elves who delivered snow.

"They sneaked into the hotel and they bring it to us for a present,” Taylor believes.

New snow “appears” each morning. Riders grab a tube and head to the top.

"How many times do you think you're going to go around?” Scott asks.

"One hundred or something,” Taylor reports with confidence.

After the kids have a chance to enjoy the slopes, then it's mom and dad's time, because at night, Alpine Rush takes on an entire different vibe when it goes Disco!

The lights dim and the Christmas tunes go techno for "Cosmic Snow Tubing."

"Snow…? What do they call it?" asks Helen Eichers.

Helen and her husband Del also took a slide down the Alpine Racer.

"Del carried his own tube up the first time,” she said.

Even the onset of Parkinson's Disease couldn't stop Del.

"I think it's a great, great for him to be able to do at the age of 85,” she said.

"Would you recommend other folks your age do this as well?” Scot asks.
"Oh heavens, yes!" Del says enthusiastically.

"Most people think we are crazy, and I guess we are." Helen concludes, promising to go for a third ride.

Note: Parking at Gaylord Palms will cost $25 for three hours.  Snow slide wristbands cost $19 per rider.
