A 63-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Volusia County on Monday afternoon when a pickup pulled in front of him and he was ejected off the bike, troopers said.

The Sugar Hill, Ga., man, who has not been identified pending family notification, was traveling north on State Road 415 at about 1:20 p.m. when a 2005 Ford pickup pulled out from Lemon Bluff Road and into his path, a Florida Highway Patrol release said.

He was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford but died.

The driver of the pickup, Cierra South, 24, of Lake Mary was not injured.
