We had a seasonable start to the weekend with high temperatures Saturday afternoon around 80 degrees.  High pressure moved closer to Central Florida, which allowed for slightly lighter winds and drier conditions.  Not much in the way of rainfall Saturday and a similar forecast continues Sunday.

Even with the winds diminishing a bit, we still have rough ocean conditions and advisories through Sunday.

  • A Small Craft Advisory through 4pm Sunday.
  • A High Surf Advisory through 4pm Sunday.
  • A Rip Current Statement through Sunday due to the high rip current risk

Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours.  A decent breeze will continue along the coast where a stray shower is possible as we head toward daybreak.  Inland, winds will be lighter and will allow for some patchy fog to develop.  Temperatures will be cool, dropping into the mid to low 60s.

Sunday will be similar to Saturday.  Mostly sunny skies with a slim chance for a coastal shower.  Temperatures will be seasonable, in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.  We’ll warm back into the low 80s over the next few days with an approaching front.  This front will increase rain chances, mainly for Thursday and Friday.

In the tropics, no tropical development is expected through the end of hurricane season, which is Nov. 30.
