Authorities are looking for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery Friday morning at a Cocoa hotel.

Just after 10 a.m., Cocoa Police officers responded to a robbery call at the Days Inn at 5600 S.R. 524. The desk clerk reported that a man entered the lobby, threatened her with a gun and demanded money. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled in a vehicle. No one was injured.

A short while earlier, Titusville Police had put out a bulletin about a similar incident in their jurisdiction. Law enforcement officials already in the area searching for a vehicle in connection with that incident found one matching the description at a Budget Inn on S.R. 520 near Interstate 95. Officers talked with a woman in one of the rooms who was later identified as the girlfriend of the man sought in connection with the Days Inn armed robbery.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and can earn a reward of up to $1,000.
