Shoppers camped out in front of an Orlando Best Buy for the chance to buy a 49-inch TV for $149.

Hundreds of people slept, stood and sat behind barricades waiting for the Best Buy on East Colonial Drive to open its doors for the sales.

About 40 television vouchers were handed out to the people in line on a first-come first-serve basis. Those who invested their time say it will pay off.

"They have my tablet, they have my phones for a dollar, they have the TV, so I'm at Best Buy," Jasmine Harper said.

"A 49-inch Toshiba television for $149," Vikki Richardson said. "They have 40 and I'm number 18."

The customers at the front of the line arrived more than 24 hours before the doors were set to open on Thanksgiving to get the best bang for their buck.

"I think it's a really great deal and I'm a college student so I need to save money," Victor Rodriguez said.

Most of the shoppers agreed that the savings were worth it, even though most of the day was spent away from the dinner table

"Hundreds," Harper said. "So it's worth it."

Some said they were still able to make it a family affair as they camped out together.

"Eating, drinking and playing on our phone," Richardson said.

They said once they have that TV in their shopping cart, the turkey dinner will be the reward.
