Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, a little windy today, but temperatures were quite comfortable.

Some of us had to deal with isolated showers and a few brief downpours, as the onshore flow continues pulling Atlantic moisture into the lower levels of the atmosphere. Isolated showers will continue tonight, with the best chances over toward the east coast.

Dry air in the mid and upper levels helped to keep Friday showers isolated, and will work to cut the rain chances to 20 percent west of the St. Johns River.

Expect plenty of sunshine to warm us back above average, as highs climb into the upper 70s to around 80.

Winds pick up again by late morning and could gust to around 25 mph inland and 30 mph toward the coast. Onshore winds remain fairly strong right into early next week, creating hazardous beach, surf, and boating conditions into our long, holiday weekend.

We’ll also put a slight shower chance in the forecast through Sunday east of I-95.

Highs both Saturday and Sunday are forecast to warm into the upper 70s to lower 80s. As a matter of fact, we’ll keep the upper 70s to lower 80s through next Thursday.

November is going out on a very warm note, and meteorological fall (September, October, November) may be one of our warmest on record.
