The city of Ocoee now officially has a new mayor.

Rusty Johnson won Tuesday night's runoff election by 17 votes.

Neither he nor challenger Jim Sills got enough votes in last month's election.

Johnson will replace longtime mayor Scott Vandergrift. Vandergrift resigned in July before his term was up because of health concerns and other reasons.

Johnson will serve the remainder of Vandergrift's term, which ends in 2016.
