A 128-pound loggerhead sea turtle that was rescued in March is back in the ocean after undergoing treatment at SeaWorld Orlando.

The SeaWorld Orlando Animal Rescue Team on Thursday returned the sea turtle to Canaveral National Seashore's Playalinda Beach.

The loggerhead sea turtle was rescued March 12 by a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission ranger in Cape Canaveral after being discovered beached, emaciated, lethargic and covered in barnacles. The sea turtle was taken to SeaWorld Orlando for treatment.

SeaWorld said that during the course of its 8-month rehabilitation, the sea turtle gained 24 pounds.

So far in 2015, SeaWorld Orlando has rescued 58 sea turtles and returned 84 to the ocean.
