Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather:

It was a cool and comfortable end to the weekend with temperatures Sunday afternoon staying in the 70s.

We had strong westerly wind that allowed for some moisture to move back in from the Gulf of Mexico.

A few showers and a couple of storms did pop up during the afternoon. Dry air will move back in Monday, allowing for only a slight chance for rain to start the work week.

Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will stay nice and cool, falling once again into the mid-60s.

Rain chances will drop back to 20% for Monday afternoon.  Expect mostly sunny skies throughout the day with an isolated shower possible.  Highs will climb into the upper 70s to low 80s.  Low rain chances will stick around through mid-week before increasing with an approaching system as we head toward the weekend.

In the tropics, Joaquin is weakening quickly and racing off to the northeast.  Bermuda will be impacted from this storm today and tonight.

Joaquin will become a post tropical system well away from the United States by mid-week.  There’s two other areas of low pressure, one in the central Atlantic and another near the Cape Verde Islands, that have a small chance for tropical development in the next five days.
