A Winter Garden man was killed Sunday night in a two vehicle crash on the Florida Turnpike in Orange County.
The crash happened at 9:10 p.m. in the southbound lanes at mile marker 259.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Terrance D. Thompson, 48, was driving his pickup truck south in the inside lane and traveled into the right lane and collided with a pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Robert Sims of Boca Raton.
Troopers said Thompson’s truck then traveled onto the west shoulder and overturned. He was ejected and died at the scene.
Sims and a passenger in his truck were not injured.
