State Road 528 is back open in both directions along the Bennett Causeway bridge from Cocoa to Merritt Island after a barge struck the bridge.
A crane aboard the barge reportedly was too high for the bridge. The crash sent concrete into the Indian River below. Cocoa police said no injuries have been reported.
The U.S. Coast Guard is the lead agency in the investigation.
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office said it is assisting Cocoa police, the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Transportation in the investigation into the barge crash.
