Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather for the week ahead:

  • Nice, dry week ahead: Rain chances don't return until Sunday
  • Daytime highs in 80s, nights dip into the 60s
  • A cold front arrives this weekend, dropping temperatures even further for next week

We are under a temporary high pressure area until the next cold front arrives late Wednesday.  The front is anticipated to be weak and come through dry. The air filtering behind the front is quite dry, allowing for humidity and temperatures to drop a bit later this week.  Another cold front will arrive this weekend, giving us a slight chance for showers Sunday and Monday along with cooler temperatures.

Tonight temperatures will not fall as much, bottoming out around 66 by daybreak Wednesday.  The sun rises at 7:25 a.m.  It will also remain mostly clear and dry for the exception of a few isolated drops in Osceola and Brevard counties.

Wednesday will be a bit warmer than our normal average of 85 as temperature rise into the upper 80s ahead of the cold front dropping in from our north.  Winds will shift from the southwest to the west, then eventually north behind the front.  Next best chance for rain is Sunday.

In the tropics, we are tracking three waves in the Atlantic and Caribbean, with no formation anticipated over the next five days.
