The Orange County Sheriff's Office says they have detained multiple people after two deputies were shot at while on patrol.

The call came in around 3:30 a.m. Monday near the area of 25th Street and Westmoreland Drive.

The deputies were patrolling the area in an unmarked car because of recent shootings. Their unmarked car was struck several times by bullets, which were believed to come from or near a home.

Neither of the deputies were injured and the sheriff's office said they did not return fire.

Search warrants were served at two houses in the area of 25th Street, the sheriff's office said.

Several streets in the vicinity remain blocked off and residents are being asked to stay inside for their safety.
