The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man a girl said tried to abduct her while she walked home from school Thursday afternoon.
Deputies say around 4 p.m. the 13-year-old Indian Trails Middle School student walking along Pine Lakes Parkway near Brushwood Lane in Palm Coast when a man started following her and then grabbed her.
The 8th grader fought back and she was able to break free, run away and call 911.
She was not hurt and was also able to provide investigators with description of her attacker.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned man with brown hair, possibly balding, and brown eyes. He's about 30 to 40 years old, and was wearing khaki pants, black shoes and a navy, zip-up sweater with a white stripe on the side.
