Orlando Predators coach Rob Keefe was reinstated Wednesday following his December arrest on domestic violence charges, the team announced.

The misdemeanor incident involving a domestic violence arrest last month was dismissed. No charges were filed, according to Orange County court records.

Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Keefe, 34, on Sunday, Dec. 7, and charged him with domestic violence battery.

The Sheriff's Office said Keefe was arrested without incident and apologized several times.

Keefe's girlfriend said the dispute was over "stupid stuff."

Keefe is also the vice president of football operations.

Keefe will resume full coaching duties immediately, the team announced.

“After an extensive internal investigation in conjunction with the Arena Football League, and a review of the actions of the State Attorney’s Office, we have decided to reinstate coach Rob Keefe as head coach and vice president of football operations effective immediately,” Orlando Predators President Jared Saft said in a statement.

In his first season as head coach in 2014, Keefe directed the Predators to their first division title since 2006. Orlando secured the South Division championship and came within a game of the ArenaBowl after reaching the American Conference championship.

The Predators open their 2015 season against the Philadelphia Soul at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at the Amway Center.
