Two teens were injured Tuesday morning after a tractor-trailer and a Jeep crashed in Seminole County.

It happened around 7:45 a.m. on H E Thomas Jr. Parkway near Oregon Street.

Seminole County Fire Rescue said the Jeep's 16-year-old male driver and his 15-year-old sister were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

A spokeswoman said Joseph Porretto Jr., the semi's driver, drove in from New York and picked up the tractor-trailer.

He was cited for careless driving, driving on a suspended commercial license without knowledge and failing to have registration.

The crash caused diesel fuel to spill on the roadway.

Sanford police is investigating the crash.
