A longtime worker for the city of Mount Dora is accused of having child porn.
Mark McCormick, 54, was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff's Office at his Tavares home Thursday morning.
The Sheriff's Office said McCormick was being investigated in an undercover operation and was found to be actively sharing files.
Investigators said McCormick admitted to downloading an estimated 1,000 to 2,000 photos and videos using a file-sharing program.
McCormick has worked for Mount Dora's public works department for 19 years.
The city is cooperating with investigators. A spokesperson said McCormick has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
