Walt Disney World is planning to build a new "Frozen" meet-and-greet area at Epcot's Norway Pavilion, according to a permit filed by the theme park on Tuesday.
Documents filed by Disney with the South Florida Water Management District for a project named "Epcot Frozen Meet And Greet" include maps and blueprints of a brand new, 13,000-square-foot building between the Mexico and Norway sections of Epcot's World Showcase.
The building is separate from the existing structure that housed the Maelstrom flume ride that closed in October to make way for a new attraction based the massively successful "Frozen" animated film.

The large building will be the place for guests at Epcot to meet Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, and possibly other "Frozen" characters like the friendly snowman Olaf.
Elsa and Anna previously greeted guests at Epcot in an existing building in Norway beginning in 2013, but that area was too small to handle the extremely high demand to meet the sisters, resulting in long lines often topping 3 hours and stretching far beyond the Norway Pavilion.
Elsa and Anna moved to the Magic Kingdom's Princess Fairytale Hall in April 2014, and with them moved the long lines and wait times as long as 5 hours.
With the announcement in September of a new "Frozen" attraction coming to Epcot, it appears Disney has realized it needs a new space to house a new meet-and-greet area to accompany the attraction.
The "Frozen" attraction replacing Maelstrom is slated to open in 2016.
