State Road A1A was briefly shut down Monday morning in Brevard County near Patrick Air Force Base during a suspicious package scare.
The package was found at nearby 2nd Light Beach early Monday, according to the U.S. Air Force 45th Space Wing, which is based at Patrick AFB.
A1A was closed in both directions as a precaution just after 8:34 a.m.
All lanes were reopened shortly after 10 a.m.
The nature of the suspicious package was not immediately released. The 45th Space Wing said it would release more information as it becomes available.
