A big engagement announcement is expected later today in Marion County.

After months of planning and community-wide discussion, the “Engage in Education” movement is ready to be presented to the public.

“Engage in Education” brings together various stakeholder groups to enhance public education in the county.

They said outcomes might address everything from school reputations and graduation rates to employment skills, career development and after-college opportunities.

The big engagement party kicking off the program will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Forest High School, 5000 SE Maricamp Road, in Ocala.
