Mount Dora residents are under a boil water notice for the next 48 hours after a recent water main break.

Officials said the water is safe to bathe and shower in, but it should be boiled for consuming. That includes drinking, cooking, baking with the water and brushing your teeth in the Lake County city.

Only residents on the east side of town, from State Road 44 to the Orange County line, are impacted.

Major subdivisions impacted include:

  • County Club of Mount Dora
  • Lakes of Mount Dora
  • Loch Leven
  • Lancaster at Loch Leven
  • Summerbrooke
  • Stoneybrook Hills
  • Sullivan Ranch

The notice is in effect until Tuesday night.
