Saggy pants will be a hot topic once again in Marion County Tuesday, less than a month after the city council passed an ordinance banning the clothing on city property.

Mayor Kent Guinn said he wants the ordinance repealed.

He told News 13 he actually meant to veto it when it came across his desk. However, there were many papers and he mistakenly signed it into law.

We’ll see what the same council, who unanimously passed the law, has to say. The law fines violators up to $500 and threatens jail time.

The council meets at 4 p.m. on the second floor of Ocala City Hall, 110 SE Watula Ave.

The NAACP is going to be listening closely as well. They've already planned a 7 p.m. town hall to address the issue at the United Theological Seminary, 1105 NW 4th St.
