A Georgia man has been arrested for trying to use an Ocala police officer's Taser against the officer early Friday.

Police said Anthony Howard grabbed one officer's electornic stun device, identified as a Taser in a police report, pointed it at a second officer and pulled the trigger multiple times.

The altercation happened after police said two officers pulled over Howard, 46, for speeding. Upon stopping him, the officers said they smelled alcohol on his breath and discovered he had a suspended license.

Police said they also found drugs and three opened alcohol bottles in Howard's car.

Howard was booked into the Marion County Jail on a bond totaling $29,000 on multiple charges, including assault and battery on an officer, resisting arrest, driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving with a suspended license.
