If you ever thought you were safe from severe weather in your car, you may want to reconsider.
Brevard County Fire and Rescue responded to Mike Erdman Toyota in Merritt Island on Friday around 2 p.m. after reports that a car on the dealership's lot was struck by lightning.
Crews were able to contain any hotspots, and ensure there was no danger of a fire starting due to the damage.
No injuries were reported as a result of the lightning strike.
