A grand jury has issued a first-degree premeditated murder indictment against Junior Enock Gedeon, 25, for the July 5 murder of 23-year-old Rodney Porter.

The Seminole County Grand Jury announced the indictment on Thursday, July 31, 2014.

The shooting occurred on Interstate 4, near the exit ramp for State Road 436. Investigators say Gedeon fired the shots into Porter's vehicle that killed him.

The grand jury heard from one witness, a detective from the Altamonte Springs Police Department before returning the indictment.

They included in the indictment an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Gedeon was arrested by Altamonte Springs Police the day of the murder and remains in the Seminole County Jail where he is held without bond.
