A Marion County Sheriff's Office hung on to the side of a pickup truck during a traffic stop earlier this month as the driver tried to get away.

During a July 14 traffic stop, deputies told the driver of the pickup truck, Allen High,  that they were going to have a K-9 sniff the vehicle. That's when High put the truck into gear and sped off.

One of the deputies hung on to the side of the vehicle for a short distance.

The two deputies then ran back to their patrol car and chased down High. He was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding, resisting an officer with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.
