Orange County Sheriff deputies are looking for suspects who they say shot at a 15-year-old boy while trying to rob him.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Friday along Brookswood Way.

Investigators said the teen was walking through the Silver Pines condo complex when he said two men approached and tried to rob him.

Deputies said they received several calls of shots fired from residents.

They arrived to find the teen walking away from the scene and trying to get help.

Investigators said the teen is not being very cooperative in giving them information.

He told deputies the men pulled up behind him in a red Chevy and asked him to turn around.

The teen told deputies he stopped, but at one point started running away. That’s when he heard two shots and felt tingling in one of his legs.

At this point, it’s unclear exactly what the suspects were after, but investigators believe they were trying to rob the teen.

“They told him to stop, turn around and then they started going through his pockets.  And that’s all we’re getting from him right now,” said Lt. Mark Cunner from the Sheriff’s Office.

We’ve learned the shot teen was actually listed as a missing juvenile. The teen’s father is with him at the hospital.
