Report cards are now available for pick up for students at all but two high schools in Osceola County. For weeks students have been told they can’t get their report cards because of a computer glitch.

After weeks of waiting the thousands of high school students in Osceola County who haven’t received their report cards yet can now pick them up.

This all started three weeks ago when the county realized that the report cards that were handed out weren’t right and there was a big problem.

“It was a human programing error and as soon as we knew about it we started notifying parents and fixing the problem,” said Osceola County spokesman Dana Schafer.

This week the district worked with all eight of the high schools to check every students grades before the report cards were given out, and recent graduates will finally be able to get their official transcripts.

Officials say they are still working on getting grades to students at Zenith and Challenger high schools.

So far the school district has assured News 13 that the problem has been identified and they are working to make sure it doesn’t happen again. As for parents and students they were just relieved they got their final grades before school starts in a few weeks.

One parent we spoke with was understanding of the situation.

“Things do happen, we are human beings. And people are going to make mistakes but we finally got our grades for our children,” said Harvey Nazario.

As for those students waiting of Zenith and Challenger high schools, Officials say they told parents to expect a call soon letting them know when the report cards are ready.
