Firefighters rescued 12 guests stuck on Transformers: The Ride 3-D at Universal Orlando after officials at the theme park said a technical glitch stopped the ride Tuesday morning.
The ride was stopped for about an hour before firefighters arrived to rescue the guests, according to Casey Ruston, who was on the Transformers ride with her family of six and tweeting (@thors_queen) from the stopped ride vehicle.

Orlando fire crews responded to Universal around 10:30 a.m. to rescue the stuck passengers. No one was injured.
Casey's photos from the ride showed one firefighter being lowered into part of the attraction where she, her grandparents and three children were waiting in their ride vehicle. Another firefighter lowered a ladder down for the guests to climb up to safety.
Universal Orlando Resort spokeswoman Alyson Lundell sent us the following statement Tuesday:
Earlier today, Transformers: The Ride 3-D experienced a technical glitch. We assisted a small number of guests off the ride.
All guests are off the ride and everyone is safe and in good spirits.
Transformers: The Ride reopened to guests around 1 p.m. after the attraction was deemed safe.
