Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a car crashing into some people on Sand Lake Road. The crash happened this afternoon near Winegard Road, east of Florida Mall.
FHP said an adult and child were waiting at a bus stop when an SUV hit them.
FHP said a Chevy van pulled out in front of a Nissan SUV onto Sand Lake Road. The Nissan tried to stop, but ended up hitting the car, then the pedestrians.
They were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. The woman is in critical condition, and the child is in serious condition.
Sand Lake Road is now back open.
