A man was gunned down by Orlando police in an early morning carjacking Wednesday.

The man was one of three suspected in a carjacking and robbery during the early morning hours Wednesday. Police are still on the hunt for two other men.

A New Texas Chicken delivery man was dropping off pizza and soda at an abandoned home on College Drive in Orange County, according to his boss, Naz Mayan.

"He walked up to the door, he said that by the time he turned around, they had three guns on him and said give it up," Mayan said.

The men then took the driver's cash and car, a Monte Carlo.

The driver, Henry Donaldson, flagged down an officer around 2:30 a.m.

"Certainly going to be looking at all the angles, one possibly being a fake call was put in to lure someone out here to carjack them to rob them," said Jeff Williamson, of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Police were able to spot the suspects a few blocks away, but the two men rammed an officer's car and fled the area.

The stolen vehicle was lcoated several blocks north on the 4400 block of Malibu Street, inside the Malibu Grove subdivision near Ivey Lane.

Two officers opened fire, killing one of the suspects.

Neighbors could hear the gun shots.

"I sat there on the porch for a minutes, and thought I better get inside before someone starts shooting at me," William Dodd said.

The SWAT team surrounded the house where the food had originally been delivered around 9:30 a.m., but no one was found inside.

News 13 spoke to the delivery man. He was very upset over the incident and did not want to speak on camera. The search continues for two armed suspects.

Forensic evidence shows shots were fired at or near the home, and may be from the suspects.

"Our officers were confronted with a deadly force situation and discharged their service weapons, striking one of the suspects," said Sgt. Jim Young, of the Orlando Police Department.

Police said one has a long gun, while the other was seen with a handgun. Police have yet to release descriptions of the suspects.

The two officers were not injured in the shooting. They are on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure, while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates.
