Seminole and Orange counties are offering free testing for Hepatitis C as part of National Hepatitis Awareness Month.
Free testing will be done from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, May 19, at 6101 Ealenor Drive (Orange County) and 400 W. Airport Blvd. (Seminole County).
Hepatitis C is an infectious disease affecting primarily the liver. The infection is often asymptomatic, but chronic infection can lead to the scarring of the liver and ultimately cirrhosis, which is generally apparent after many years.
