Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at the home where the SUV connected to the deadly hit-and-run KinderCare day care crash was found.

The search warrant was served Wednesday at the home on Orange and Walnut avenues in Winter Park.

Investigators said they learned about information that prompted the search for evidence.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Timothy Freebern didn't say what the evidence was, though.

Freebern said the information to conduct the search warrant didn't come from Robert Corchado, the man troopers believe drove a Dodge Durango into another car along Goldenrod Road, in Winter Park, earlier this month. The car that was hit then crashed into the KinderCare day care center, killing one child and injuring 14 other people.

Four people were at the home when the initial search warrant was served. Troopers need additional court paperwork before they can finish searching the home.

The people who live at the home said Corchado was a friend of a family member. Once they saw the news on TV, they reported the vehicle. Troopers towed it away that day. Front-end damage could be seen.

Corchado turned himself in the next day. He remains in jail on $100,000 bond.

Meanwhile, Seminole County deputies arrested someone at the house for an unrelated reason.

Deputies were assisting FHP with the search warrant when marijuana was found in the house.

Seyoum Cameron, 30, was arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges.
