A Marion County man is behind bars, charged with two counts of capital sexual battery on a child.
Michael Helmick was arrested Monday, which was also his 38th birthday.
Deputies said the 10-year-old victim told detectives Helmick had inappropriate contact at least twice.
They said he admitted to committing illegal actions towards the victim.
He also told detectives “I’m not the normal guy that everyone thinks I am.”
