A standoff is over in Seminole County after a man who had barricaded himself inside an Altamonte Springs home with a gun surrendered without incident.
The Country Creek Estates, off Eden Park Road just north of Maitland Boulevard, was put on lockdown for a short time during the standoff, which started shortly before 5 p.m. and ended about a half-hour later.
Altamonte Springs police said the elderly man was detained and sent to be medically evaluated by Seminole County Fire Rescue.
No charges will be filed against the man, police said.
