A new push is underway to help provide more nourishment for families in need.
Milk is one of the most requested items at food banks, yet Feeding America said of the 37 million Americans served by its food banks, only about one gallon goes to each person each year.
That's why they're joining dairy farmers in the Great American Milk Drive.
"We want everybody's help especially in the Central Florida community where 16 percent of the community is in need of using the services of a food bank," said Diahann Smith from Florida Dairy Farmers.
They're asking for donations of money that will pay for milk vouchers.
The money you give will go directly to families in your community, based on your zip code.
Donations will be matched now through May 25.
