We found 21 Easter eggs way too big for your kid's Easter basket. That's probably a good thing, since these eggs are totally edible.

For the third year in a row, chocolate Easter eggs are on display in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa lobby. The eggs are 9-12 pounds and stand 16-20 inches tall. Nineteen pastry chefs -- under the guidance of Master pastry Chef Erich Herbitschek -- spent more than 3 weeks designing and building them.

"To really appreciate the craftsmanship that went into them, you've got to see them in person," John Whitman, Orlando, told me. He and his wife also checked out the display last year.

"Every cast member makes a sketch with what they want to do," Chef Herbitschek told me. "Then they eliminate a few items, maybe, or add some other things onto it."

The pastry team at the Grand Floridian hand-paints the chocolate dinosaur-sized eggs with tinted cocoa butter. Look for 21 eggs (19 new this year) telling the stories of “The Little Mermaid,” “Cinderella,” “Pocahontas,” “Lady and the Tramp,” and more, all created with modeling chocolate, fondant, sculpted sugar and royal icing.

The "Frozen" one is an enormous hit this year, according to little Breanna Maxwell.

"My favorite Easter egg was Elsa!" she smiled. "She has a braid with sparkly dots on it."

Sparkly and edible, but even guests with a severe chocolate addiction would probably pass on a nibble.

"I hope nobody eats it!" Chef laughed. "They've been sitting in the lobby for two weeks."

But the chefs do try and save some of the painted ones.

"If chocolate is kept in proper room temperature, like 80 degrees or below, they can last for years," Chef said. "Some we give away to cast members if they want to take it home."

One year, he said they gave all the eggs to the kiddos at Give Kids The World.

The chocolate works of art will remain in the lobby through April 22. You don't have to be a resort guest to take a look.
