A deal to demolish an old glass building in Cocoa Beach has been made, but the deal is not completely done.
City attorney Skip Fowler said the estate of Frank Wolfe has agreed to a deal that would let the city demolish the Glass Bank Building. The estate would then be paid back when the property is sold.
Frank Wolfe lived in the top floor suite for years. He committed suicide last February.
The Glass Bank Condo Association owns the rest of the building. They agreed to allow the building to be demolished earlier this year.
Fowler said he wants the building taken down before there is a hurricane threat.
City attorneys will now go before a judge to argue that the building is a public nuisance and needs to be torn down. If the judge approves, the building can be demolished.
