A playground will be built in Groveland in honor of Lily Quintus.

She’s the 4-year old killed last week when a car crashed through her Winter Park daycare.

Her father is a Groveland firefighter, where firefighters had been partnering on a makeover of a Broad Street daycare. Now with help from the Good Neighborhood Program they plan to build a community park and playground in Lily’s honor on the same property.

The build will take place Friday, with a memorial dedication planned for Saturday.

Donations for the playground can be made at the Clermont Home Depot under the name "Hope for the Children."
